PELIKAN NECK
WHY? If you run your life from a body, as most of us need to, you also get signals from your body operating system (BOS). Not always clear and simple, these signals include pain, pleasure, fatigue, tension, ease, flow, and effort. The clearer the signals and the more responsive you are to them, the more efficiently your BOS will work. HOW? Your nonconscious functional mind operates your body for you, using sensory signals about your body in time and space as feedback. Movement generates sensory signals. The feeling of gentle, easy, simple, comfortable movement is more easily taken in and used than are feelings of pain, effort, and tension.
· game: pelikan neck. · what: · open question: What would be longer? What connects down my back? · feeling: elongation, notice spaciousness of your back. · when: Several times a day, during 1 minute breaks from computer. You can also listen and see if your body would like some other movement. It is symbolically nice to turn away from the computer, particularly while waiting for an audible signal of a completed operation. Just let go the outside and listen inside. You can even let the computer wait for you instead of you always waiting for it. · notes: Stay in your window of comfort.
